Walmart payment reconciliation report: a seller review checklist
By Mardood · Reviewed October 6, 2026 · Manual review guide
Use the Walmart Payments Report to explain a payment cycle, then match the transfer to the bank. An order total is not the same measure as a net marketplace payout.
Reports to collect
- Payments Report, also called the Reconciliation Report
- Order, return and adjustment evidence for the selected cycle
- Bank confirmation for the corresponding payment
How to investigate the difference
1. Collect a complete cycle
In Seller Center, use the payment statements and download the payment report. Keep the original cycle boundaries with the file.
2. Separate orders from adjustments
Create distinct worksheet groups for sales, refunds, charges and adjustments. Preserve order references so a later correction can be matched to its source.
3. Review the reason for each difference
Check report evidence for refunds, fees and payment holds before alleging an incorrect deduction. Avoid interpreting a hold as a final loss.
4. Document a specific exception
Record the source row, expected treatment, actual amount and supporting order evidence. Confirm current marketplace procedures before escalating.
Worked example
Illustrative review: a $90 refund and a $10 fee adjustment may affect a different cycle from the original $100 order. Record all three events before deciding the order is unreconciled.
Illustrative only; not a customer result or recovery estimate.
Before using the app
Does selecting Walmart in Mardood enable a native payment-report audit?
No. The inventory setting is separate. Payout Match compares prepared Walmart payout and bank records; native payment-report parsing and automatic disputes are not supported.
